Welcome to the Web Site of the Central Hudson Valley Football Officials Association, Inc (CHVFOA).


Our organization is a member of the New York State Association of Certified Football Officials. Our mission is to promote football within our region and to provide certified football officials for high schools in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam (partial), Rockland, Sullivan, and Ulster counties within New York State. Our territory includes all of Section IX and part of Section I.

Meetings 

Dates for the 2012 Interpretation Meeting are
Thursday August 2nd and Tuesday August 14th. The Part II NFHS exam is scheduled for Tuesday August 21st at NYMA. All meetings begin at 7:00pm.

February 16, 2012 -  2012 NHFS Rule Change Announcment
 
February 9, 2011 - Referees - please send your crew members to the chapter secretary as required by the constitution. This information is used by the assignors when scheduling games. 
 
 
January 13, 2012 - Updated the Chapter Constitution, By-Laws, and Code of Conduct documents (August 2011 changes included).
 

January 7, 2012 - Added the Section IX ratings to the Documents - 2011 Section.. Crew comments from Section IX coaches and individual comments from Section I coaches will be distributed by Dennis Geisler. 
 
January 2, 2012 - Happy 2012!   The Executive Board Member page has been updated. 





Prospective Officials - 2012
 
We are recruiting prospective officials for the 2012 season. The rules clinics are being held at NFA in Newburgh Room 255 and at Sullivan County BOCES in Liberty.

The classes begin on Monday May 21st with sessions on Wednesday  May 23th, Wednesday May 30th , Monday June 4th, and Wednesday June 6th. The rules exam is being held on Monday June 11th at NFA Room 255 ONLY ! To be eligible to take the exam you must attend at least 3 of the 5 rules sessions.

 The cost of the program is $50.00. Successful candidates will become chapter members and will then be required to pay our member dues of $75. New Officials are also required to be finger printed by New York State Law.  Contact Dennis Geisler (secr
