Welcome to the Web Site of the Central Hudson Valley Football Officials Association, Inc (CHVFOA).
Our organization is a member of the New York State Association of Certified Football Officials. Our mission is to promote football within our region and to provide certified football officials for high schools in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam (partial), Rockland, Sullivan, and Ulster counties within New York State. Our territory includes all of Section IX and part of Section I.
If you have any information that you would like added to the website (documents, links, etc) or if you have questions about the chapter, web site, etc, please send them to the Web Site Administrator using the contact us form to the right. If you are having trouble registering or logging in please check the FAQ or the READ ME FIRST sections of the Forums for help.
Please note that to view the chapter documents you must be a registered user, otherwise the site will indicate there are no documents to view! Register

Meetings
The 2009 Meeting dates have been established. The chapter meetings are kicked off by the Interpretion Meetings in August. The 2009 Interpretation meetings will be held on Thursday August 6th and Tuesday August 18th at the New York Military Academy. Members must attend one of the two meetings or one of the meetings of another chapter. The 2009 rules exam is on Tuesday August 25th at NYMA.

Chapter and Web Site News
June 30, 2009 - As a reminder, we are using the 2008/2009 Officials Manual that you recieved last season for 4/5 man mechanics. The 3 man officials mechanics manual can be downloaded from the NHFS Site (http://www.nfhs.org/Core/ContentManager/uploads/PDFs/Football/ThreeOfficials.pdf).
June 27, 2009 - Added an informational memo from Section IX BOCES regarding fingerprinting. It can be found in the Documents Section under Memos.
June 19, 2009 - Attention all new candidates who passed the exam on Monday June 15th. Please contact Claudia from Section IX at 291-0159 regarding fingerprinting procedures.
June 10, 2009 - Added a link to the CDFL (Collegiate Development Football League) which we are providing officias for. This league affords players 18-24 years old a second chance to compete post High School.
June 1, 2009 - We have 20 candidates for membership. We are 3 Rule books short (2008). If you are willing to donate yours please get it to Kevin Lasko or drop it off at NFA the nights of the Rules sessions (6/3, 6/8). Thanks!

April 23, 2009 - Added the NASO E-mail to the From Your President Forum. It details a lawsuit resulting from a sideline collision between a coach and an official in Texas.
April 19, 2009 - All members were sent an e-mail using the e-mail address that they have provided to Dennis. Please ensure that Dennis has your current e-mail address. A copy of the e-mail is in the E-mail Forum.
March 27, 2009 - Added the Chapter Members Only link in the Chapter information menu. This is a password protected folder that will allow members to create liability alert forms and view them if they have submitted them. In addtion to the liabilty alert form, a database has been created for the members to post their open dates for VARSITY GAMES only. Fill out the form and submit it to the database. You will also be able to view all of the dates or you can select a date to view those members who have that date as open. There is no guarantee that you will get called or even get a game, this is provided as a courtesy. The user name and password is not the same as your login password. There is a global user name and password for all of the chapter members to use. It has been sent to the E-board. Please contact a Board memeber or the Webmaster for the password. DO NOT SHARE IT WITH NON-CHAPTER MEMBERS!

February 28, 2009 - New CHVFOA Web site goes active. Please bear with us as all of the content gets moved to the new site. The old site was hacked and some of the files on the server destroyed so that it was in a state where it couldn't be updated. Please re-register your e-mail address!
February 17, 2009 - We regret to inform you that Tom Cucchiarra, a longtime member of CHVFOA, passed away on February 17.
February 10, 2009 -Liberty Bell Football Officials Clinic Website and 2009 clinic information. 2009 Registration Form is in the Chapter Documents 2009 section.
February 5, 2009 - Added the FINAL 2008 Section I Officials Ratings to the Chapter Documents 2008 section.
February 2, 2009- The CHVFOA New Officials Rules Clinic will begin at 7pm on Wednesday May 27th 2009 at Newburgh Free Academy (NFA) Room 255 and the Sullivan County BOCES in Liberty. Additional details are in the Prospective Officials Section. The current chapter Roster for 2009 has been also added to the Chapter Documents - 2009 section. Please review your contact information and let our Secretary-Treasurer know of any changes, regardless of when they occur.
January 28, 2009 - The Hudson Valley Touch Football League is looking for officials to work Sunday morning 6 on 6 touch football games in New Windsor. Please contact the league commissioner Michael Nieves ( mailto:hvtfl@verizon.net ) for further details if you are interested.

Prospective Officials - 2009
We are recruiting prospective officials for the 2009 season. The rules clinics are being held at NFA in Newburgh Room 255 and at Sullivan County BOCES in Liberty.
The classes begin on Wednesday May 27th with sessions on Monday June 1, Wednesday June 3, Monday June 8, and Wednesday June 10. The rules exam is being held on Monday June 15 at NFA Room 255 ONLY ! The cost of the program is $50.00. Successful candidates will become chapter members and will then be required to pay our member dues of $75.
